2 Thesssalonians 3: 16
Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace (the peace of His kingdom) at ALL times and in ALL ways (under all circumstances and conditions whatever comes). The Lord be with you all.
Jesus is also called The Prince of Peace.
So peace is not a feeling or a sentiment. Peace is a person and He is Jesus. When we have Jesus, we have His peace. We already have it. We don't have to ask for it. It is a given when we are born again. Just as Jesus lives within us, we have His peace all the time regardless of the storms and trials and tribulations swirling around us.
Remember when He was woken up from his sleep in the boat when the storm arose and the disciples were terrified, He just spoke to the elements and said, Peace, be still. Can I then in the midst of storm, be still like Jesus and speak peace into my situations. He has the first and last word. My circumstances have to bow to the peace and stop the turbulence at His name.
John 14: 27 refers to the same peace. "Peace I leave with you; My own peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. "
The peace of Jesus is not like the peace of the world. Peace of the world can be changed in an instant. Peace of the world is fragile and is subject to feelings and conditions. But the Peace of God is from everlasting to everlasting because it is bequeathed from Him. And what is of God will never fail, will never rust, will never spoil and God's peace is just like Him, it never changes no matter what happens.
The peace of God can also crush Satan. The opposite of peace is turmoil and fear. Turmoil and fear are of the devil. So when we have the peace of God, we have ammunition to destroy fear and turmoil. PEACE IS A WEAPON when we refuse to be upset and disturbed. Alleluia!!!!
Christ died to bridge the gulf between us and the Father and by so doing, he established peace by becoming our sin bearer so that the Father's wrath can be satiated and peace can reign.
God is also the author and giver of peace (Hebrews 13: 20)
Peace is always GIVEN. This means we only have to receive it.
IN SHORT, I HAVE THE PEACE OF GOD IN EVERY WAY.
Jesus is also called the Counsel of Peace

How Big Is Your God?
What an awesome sermon in church today by Rev Terry Mize.
He opened my eyes to the fact that God is limitless. We limit Him by looking in the bag. How so?
He shared from the miracle of the five loaves and 2 fish. Jesus had been preaching for 3 days to a crowd of perhaps 15,000 people (5000 men and more women and children). His disciples were feeling disgruntled, tired, bored and perhaps were holding a convo even as Jesus was preaching. They debated if they should ask Jesus to stop and decided to draw lots amongst themselves to see who should go and ask Jesus to stop. Well, Phillip drew the short straw and off he went, tapping Jesus on the shoulder and told him that the people are tired and hungry. Look at the women and the kids, appealing to Jesus' soft spot ... well, Jesus eyes bored into Phillip's eyes and said, ok, FEED THEM.
What did Phillip do? He looked into the bag and said there was not enough money to buy food to feed the crowd. HE LOOKED INTO THE BAG. That was not what Jesus told him to do. Jesus said, FEED THEM. Oh, that really rang a bell ... how often do I look into the bag and limit God to what's in the bag. How big is my God? He did not ask me to look at my bank account, look at my diagnosis, look at my fridge, look at my misery .... no He asked me who is He to me? He will be to me what I want Him to be ... my provision, my love, my joy, my comfort, my rock, my refuge, my healing ... and it's not found in the bag because my God will not be limited. I am the one who's limiting Him and it is to my disadvantage.
The little boy who offered his 5 loaves and 2 fish sowed his lunch and it multiplied and multiplied until the people ate till they were stuffed and there were still 12 basketfuls left over. Terry Mize said it this way. Jesus had the ocean on one hand and a bakery in the other. What an awesome statement and it's such a visual statement that it has been embeded into my mind. Now I will always remember the abundance that the Lord has for me and that I will never ever be in lack. Sowing and Reaping ... the principle of the tithe. What happened to the 12 baskets was never documented in the bible but Terry Mize surmised it best when he said he believed that the 12 baskets went home with the little boy. God restored and multiplied what he sowed into his kingdom. God will never a debtor to man and what He promised He will carry it out because God cannot go back on His word and He cannot lie.
My faith has notched up another level and I felt so fed with fresh manna this morning in church. I went to church asking God to feed me and sow His word into my heart and He heard me and answered my prayer. What a good God I serve and I'm forever grateful that my God is great.
My heart is just so full right now :)

Hot golf day
For the first time in a long while, I finally managed to keep my golf ball in flight instead of chopping the grass. It's such a lovely feeling to be able to see my ball sail through the air and land so far away rather than at my feet haha ...
Out of the gang of four, my tee shots are still the shortest whilst Joyce tees off like a bullet train that we always tease her that all she needs to take for her second shot on a par 4 is her putter. Yeah, she's that good :)
My arms feel like they no longer belong to my body and have a life of their own. My muscles are aching and my legs are giving way .... it's gotta be the heat, sapping energy out of me. It's maddening when here I am, trying to focus on my ball and then I have these beads of perspiration running down the sides of my face, fogging up my glasses and what do you know ... I top my ball or air shot instead ... so embarassing ... but who's watching haha!!!
I dislike it when a flight of men comes right behind us whilst waiting for their turn, and they're watching and I can literally feel their eyes boring down at us or I can almost imagine the sneering remarks they make when they look at lady golfers and think we are not good enough for the fairways. Most times, though, it is my imagination and these men don't even bother if we can hit or not as long as we are not holding up play.
Oh well, at the end of the day, I enjoy my game, have a good giggle at two at the kamikaze cap worn by that elderly golfer, gawk at that "grass cutter" style Korean lady handling her iron shot, laugh our hearts out when we make silly mistakes ... it's all in the bonding of friends and having a good time that counts.
I'm off to Bintan this weekend to tackle the Ocean Course. I'll either float or sink but hey, it's still a challenge I'm ready to relish and hopefully lick ... I'm looking forward to the massage though more than anything haha ...

Wow wheee .... getting started
This will go down in record ... 20th May 2008 ... the first day I started a blog.
This is an achievement for me, considering I'm already a youthful looking 52 year young lady handling four teenagers at home, a forgetful father-in-law, a semi-blind mother-in-law, a workaholic sister-in-law and a wonderful husband who works way too hard, ... sigh!!! Yeah, we all live together with my cheeky and fiesty cocker spaniel, Meelo. She's a blast who can't wait to bark and yelp at every dog that walks past our gate, her tail wagging furiously as if she's on turbo engine power !!! I adore her!
This is going to be a busy week for me. I have to work on new bookmarks for Father's Day and finish up all my incomplete albums which I've started on during classes but never got round to add all the embellishments as yet ... again ... the Good Lord knows how much discipline I need to manage my time better hehe . Well, before I know it, I'll have to go fetch Joseph from the army camp and we're both going to huff and puff it out tonight at the gym. That should be fun !!!
Right, start scrapping now and don't waste time ... it's precious :)
